BINGHAM — Madeline Hill scored 27 points as the Valley girls basketball team remained undefeated with a 70-51 win over Carrabec on Tuesday.
The Cavaliers (12-0), who sit atop the Class D South Heal point standings, knocked off the Cobras (8-4), the second-place team in Class C South.
Liana Hartwell had 18 points and 10 assists for Valley, and Rylee Clark pulled down 10 rebounds.
Karen Baker scored 20 points for Carrabec, followed by Ava Welch with 12 and Macie Plourde with 10.
MADISON 35, MT. ABRAM 23: Mackenzie Robbins scored 17 points as the Bulldogs won in Madison.
Madison (8-3) burst out to a 15-8 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Kharlie Turner scored nine points for Mt. Abram (7-7).
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 33, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 28: Kaitlyn Frost scored 15 points to lift the Mustangs in Yarmouth.
Tarynn Keleher added 13 points for Monmouth (9-5).
Athena Gee scored 11 points for North Yarmouth Academy (6-7).
BOYS BASKETBALL
VALLEY 54, CARRABEC 43: Fisher Tewksbury scored 19 points as the undefeated Cavaliers took the win in Bingham.
Harry Louis added 13 points for Valley (12-0).
Jackson Newton and Desmond Robinson scored 15 points apiece for Carrabec (9-3).
Both teams had their struggles from the free-throw line; Carrabec was 1 for 11, while Valley was 5 for 13.
POLAND 50, OAK HILL 40: Damon Martin scored 17 points as the Knights pulled away in the fourth quarter for the win in Poland.
Jake Jamo added 15 points for Poland (8-4), which outscored Oak Hill 15-7 in the fourth quarter after leading 35-33 after three.
Eli Desmond scored 13 points for Oak Hill (3-11).
MT. BLUE 49, NOKOMIS 44: Tyler Abell led a balanced scoring attack with 15 points as the Cougars prevailed in Newport.
Carter Norton and Nolan Leso scored 10 points apiece for Mt. Blue (9-5), and Evan Drake added nine.
Dawson Townsend scored a game-high 17 points for Nokomis (4-10), followed by Seth Bowden with 14.
TELSTAR 87, RANGELEY 50: Reiley Hedden and Brody Morgan were dialed in from long distance as the Rebels won in Rangeley.
Hedden made seven 3-pointers and scored a game-high 27 points, and Morgan hit five 3s and had 25 points. Jonathan Marshall added 14 points for Telstar (8-4).
Brayden Thompson led Rangeley (2-10) with 24 points, while Sam Morrill had 16 points and Anthony Whittier contributed seven points and 10 rebounds.
