SKOWHEGAN — Allie Dunning scored 12 points as the Forest Hills girls basketball team defeated North Haven 49-20 on Tuesday.
Melynda Worster added 10 points for the Tigers (13-5), who won their fourth straight game
Whitney Newman led North Haven (2-13) with five points.
LEAVITT 55, WINSLOW 25: Caitlyn McCoy scored 21 points and Gabby Smith had 19 for the Hornets in their win in Turner.
McCoy drained five 3-pointers for Leavitt (11-6), while Smith made seven field goals and five free throws.
Bailey Richard led Winslow (2-15) with nine points, and three other players scored four each.
MT. ABRAM 41, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 33: Jany Pepin and Jenna Osgood led the Roadrunners (9-9) past the Falcons (9-9) in each team’s regular season finale in Rumford.
Pepin made two 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 12 points, while Osgood scored 11 points, seven of those from the free-throw line.
Madison Dow made 6 of 9 foul shots and led Mountain Valley with 12 points, and Alyvia Theriault hit three 3s and added 11 points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
FOREST HILLS 73, NORTH HAVEN 17: Blaine Nadeau scored 15 points as the Tigers won in Skowhegan.
Jaxson Desjardins added 14 points for Forest Hills (9-9).
Caden Cabot scored six points for North Haven (1-16) .
LEAVITT 60, WINSLOW 50: Jacob Gibbs scored 19 points as the Hornets won in Winslow.
Colin Schlobohm added 16 points for Leavitt (9-8).
Braden Rodrigue led the Raiders (10-7) with a game-high 29 points.
MT. VIEW 50, ERSKINE ACADEMY 41: Stuart Knowlton scored 16 points as the Mustangs won in China.
Brady Bryant added 12 points for Mount View (10-7). Gavin Fanjoy scored a game-high 18 points for Erskine Academy (7-10).
TEMPLE ACADEMY 72, RANGELEY 30: Peyton Reckards had 22 points and 10 rebounds as the Bereans earned the win in Waterville.
Ricardo Louis added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Temple Academy (8-10), which led 29-12 at the half.
Keegan O’Neil scored eight points for Rangeley (4-13).
ALPINE SKIING
Landon Marquis of Camden Hills and Ellie Porter of Edward Little won giant slalom races at the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference skiing championships on Tuesday at Black Mountain in Rumford.
Marquis won the boys race with a total time of 1 minute, 55.46 seconds. He completed his first run in 59.27 and his second in 56.19 Kaden Salsbury of Skowhegan was second in 1:56.44, Edward Little’s Carter Hill (1:56.65) and Sawyer Shaman (1:58.55) were third and fourth, respectively, and Mt. Blue’s Finn Morton (1:59.56) was fifth.
Porter won the girls race in 1:59.78. She finished her first run in 1:00.83 and her second in 58.95. Haley Marquis of Camden Hills was second in 2:04.30, while Leavitt’s Sophie Simard (2:05.32), Mt. Blue’s Melina McKendry (2:05.50) and Oxford Hills’ Alyson Cash (2:07.25) rounded out the top five.
