Maddie Provost scored her 1,000th career point and the Lawrence girls basketball team wrapped up an undefeated regular season with a 58-35 victory over Messalonskee on Wednesday in Oakland.
Provost, a junior, finished with a game-high 19 points, including four 3-pointers. Lilly Gray added 12 points for the Bulldogs (18-0), who are ranked No. 1 in this week’s Varsity Maine poll and will be the top seed in the Class A North tournament.
Addie Hafford and Lydia Parent each scored six points for the Eagles (3-15).
VALLEY 66, RICHMOND 17: Madeline Hill scored 21 points and had five assists to lead the Cavaliers to a win over the Bobcats in Bingham.
Kirsten Bigelow scored 14 points, as well as four assists and five steals for Valley (17-0), while Liana Hartwell had 14 points, seven assists and five steals.
Ella Briand and Darby Flanagan led Richmond (9-9) with six points each.
BOYS BASKETBALL
ERSKINE ACADEMY 65, LINCOLN ACADEMY 53: Carter Ulmer scored 13 points, while Landen Blodgett added 12 points to lead Erskine past Lincoln Academy in South China.richwinthrop
Gavin Fanjoy contributed 11 points for Erskine (8-10).
EJ Hunt led Lincoln Academy (12-6) with 16 points, while Drew Hunt added 14 points.
WINTHROP 53, WATERVILLE 51: The Ramblers (10-8) were chasing the Purple Panthers (2-16) much of the game but finally pulled ahead in the fourth quarter to win the regular-season finale in Winthrop.
Cole Bard led Winthrop with 15 points. Chan Ring added 10 points and Jake Galusha nine.
Derek Couture hit three 3-pointers and scored a game-high 18 points for Waterville. Cade Rogers scored 10 points.
VALLEY 68, RICHMOND 37: Fisher Tewsbury’s all-around effort paced the Cavaliers (16-0) to an East/West Conference win over the Bobcats (10-8) in Bingham.
Tewksbury finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds, six steals, five assists and four blocked shots. Kamdyn Conrad added 14 points, and Harry Louis had 15 points, eight assists and five rebounds.
David Edwards made four 3-pointers and scored 12 points for Richmond.
