Renee Ripley scored 15 points and third-seeded Oceanside rolled to a 66-39 Class B South quarterfinal win over No. 6 York on Saturday morning at the Portland Expo.
The Mariners (14-5) advance to play No. 2 Medomak Valley in the semifinals. The Wildcats finish at 11-8.
Grace Mackie finished with 13 points for Oceanside while Aubrianna Hoose had 12 and Abby Stackpole added 11 points.
Nya Avery led York with 15 points. Piper Catanese and Emma Joyce each had six points.
VALLEY 68, WAYNFLETE 12: Liana Hartwell scored 17 points and Kirsten Bigelow added 16 as the top-seeded Cavaliers rolled to a Class D South quarterfinal win over the Flyers at the Augusta Civic Center.
Valley (19-0), which advances to play the winner of Monday’s quarterfinal between No. 4 Islesboro and No. 5 Pine Tree Academy, also got 10 points each from Rylee Clark and Madeline Hill.
For Waynflete (6-13), Lauren McNutt-Girouard scored four points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
TELSTAR/GOULD 74, WISCASSET 67: Reiley Hedden scored five of his 26 points in overtime, Brady Morgan finished with 29 points, and third-seeded Telstar/Gould beat No. 6 Wiscasset in overtime in a Class D South quarterfinal at the Augusta Civic Center.
Telstar/Gould (14-5) advances to play No. 2 St. Dominic in the semifinals.
For Wiscasset (11-8), Landin Shirey scored 20 points, Jevar Gerricks added 16 and Julien King had 12.
ST. DOMINIC 75, FOREST HILLS 53: Taylor Varney and Jack Brocke combined to score 21 points in the first half as the second-seeded Saints opened a 21-point lead by halftime and cruised to a Class D South quarterfinal win over N0. 7 Forest Hills at the Augusta Civic Center.
Varney finished with 16 points and Brocke 15 for St. Dom’s (18-1), which will face No. 3 Telstar/Gould in the semifinals.
For the Tigers (9-10), Jaxson Desjardins put in 24 points and Blaine Nadeau had 18.
VALLEY 71, TEMPLE 27: Fisher Tewksbury scored 23 points to power the top-seeded Cavaliers past No. 8 Temple in a Class D South quarterfinal at the Augusta Civic Center.
Harry Louis added 19 points for Valley (19-0), which advances to face the winner of Monday’s quarterfinal between No. 4 Pine Tree Academy and No. 5 Buckfield.
For Temple (9-11), Peyton Reckards scored 12 points.
