Lucy Wiles scored 29 points as the University of Southern Maine advanced to the Little East Conference women’s basketball championship game with a 71-57 victory Thursday night against Rhode Island College in Providence, Rhode Island.
Dakota Shipley contributed 17 points and Liz Cote had 11 for the third-seeded Huskies (18-9), who led 15-8 after one quarter and 37-18 at halftime.
USM will play top-seeded UMass Dartmouth on Saturday in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
ST. JOSEPH’S 67, ALBERTUS MAGNUS 60: Grace Ramsdell paced a balanced offense with 17 points and also grabbed 11 rebounds, and the Monks (21-6) beat the Falcons (17-10) in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference semifinal in Standish.
Angelica Hurley (13 points), Logan Brown (12) and Abby Dube (10) also scored in double figures for the second-seeded Monks, who will play for the conference title Saturday against No. 4 seed St. Joseph of Connecticut.

ST. JOSEPH’s 85, ALBERTUS MAGNUS 71: Silvano Ismail recorded 29 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lift the Monks (23-4) past the Falcons (16-11) in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference semifinals in Standish.
No. 1 St. Joseph’s advances to play second-seeded Lasell on Saturday.
Remijo Wani added 21 points, while Wani Donato had 15 points and nine rebounds. John Paul Frazier scored 13 points, and Pitia Donato had 10 rebounds.
Tazhon Daniels scored 12 points and Avery Hinnant recorded 10 points and 13 rebounds for Albertus Magnus.
