WATERVILLE — Thomas College President Dr. Jeannine Diddle Uzzi was officially welcomed Friday at the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony at the college. She began her role as the sixth president of the institute Nov. 1, 2024.

The ceremony was held at Mahaney Gymnasium with Rabbi Rachel Isaacs of Beth Israel Congregation, Uzzi’s daughter Mary Jane “MJ” Uzzi, Jared Cash of The Mitchell Institute, and Kelley Shimansky, Thomas College board of trustees chair as featured speakers, according to a news release from the college.

Uzzi has a strong background in higher education leadership and is committed to expanding access to college education for students and their communities. She is dedicated to fostering a culture of student success and belonging, ensuring that all students have the support they need to thrive academically and personally.
