GARDINER — Gabby Vachon scored five goals and Casey Monson scored four goals and added an assist to lead the Cony girls lacrosse team to a 13-12 win over rival Gardiner/Hall-Dale on Monday afternoon at Hoch Field.

Abby Morrill scored two goals and had an assist, while Kate Morin and Rylin Miller added goals for the Rams (4-1).

Catherin Mansir scored four goals for Gardiner/Hall-Dale (2-2), while Lydia Gero added three goals. Gabi Sousa had two goals and two assists.

BASEBALL

CONY 11, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 0, 5 INNINGS: Trenton Hayward smacked a triple to lead the Rams (4-1) to a victory over the Mustangs (2-2) in Monmouth.

Max Tibbetts struck out five batters to earn the win on the mound for Cony.

Levi Laverdiere had a hit for Monmouth Academy.

MT. BLUE 4, MT. ABRAM 3: Dane Cousineau’s RBI double broke an eighth-inning deadlock and gave the Cougars (2-1) a win over the Roadrunners (4-1) in Farmington.

Cameron Norton drove in two with a double in a three-run fifth inning for Mt. Blue. Jax Vienneau also doubled and Nolan Leso had a pair of singles. Vienneau pitched seven innings, striking out 10, walking two and giving up three runs and three hits.

Kaiden Longley drove in a run and Bryce Wilcox had two hits for Mt. Abram. Logan Dube pitched 4 1/3 innings, striking out nine, walking three and giving up three runs and three hits.

LEWISTON 10, OAK HILL 0: Lonnie Thomas pitched a two-hit shutout and led the Blue Devils (3-3) at the plate in their win over the Raiders (1-3) in Wales.

Thomas struck out five and walked one batter in seven innings. He also drove in three runs on two hits and scored twice. Spencer Chartier and Grady Rowles each doubled for the Blue Devils, and Jeffrey Randall, Michael Caron and Chartier had an RBI apiece.

Braden Dubuc and Joseph Greenwood had Oak Hill’s hits. Logan Langlois, Kaleb Langlois and Dubuc combined to strike out eight Lewiston batters.

SOFTBALL

LAWRENCE 12, ERSKINE ACADEMY 2, 6 INNINGS: Ashley Shores had two hits, including a home run, and had 3 RBI to lead the Bulldogs (1-5) to a win over the Eagles (2-4) in Fairfield.

Mackenzie McAvoy and Kayci Ross each added two hits for Lawrence. McAvoy struck out nine batters to earn the win in the circle.

Kylie Bellows had a double for Erskine.

OAK HILL 5, LEWISTON 4: Saryn Blais had two RBIs in the Raiders (2-2) win over the Blue Devils (2-4) in Wales.

Carlee Austin singled and doubled while driving home a run. Olivia French had two hits and Izzy Whitaker notched a triple.

Isabelle Enos doubled and had two RBIs for Lewiston. Aubrey Wood had a double and a RBI.

Whitakerallowed four runs on six hits and struckout seven.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 17, WATERVILLE 1, 4 INNINGS: Rylee Turner had a double, a triple, three RBI and scored twice as the Phoenix (2-2) beat the Panthers (0-3) in a game shortened by the mercy rule in Waterville.

Turner also earned the win, allowing one run on two hits, while striking out two and walking none in three innings.

Devin Bryant also had two hits and Malory Clark drove in a pair of runs for Spruce Mountain.

Madison Wilson and Jayda Dunn each had a single for Waterville.

LISBON 11, WINSLOW 0, 5 INNINGS: Aubriana Bright had three hits, including two doubles, drove in two runs and scored twice as the Greyhounds (5-0) beat the Black Raiders (2-3) in a five-inning game in Winslow.

Mackenzie Eaton pitched five no-hit innings, striking out eight and walking one for Lisbon.

Ava Kottman added two doubles and an RBI, and Sophia Bowie also doubled for the Greyhounds. Brynn Chase and Brooke Norman each added two hits.

HALL-DALE 8, DIRIGO 5: The Bulldogs (4-0) rallied for six runs in the sixth innings to beat the Cougars (0-3) in Dixfield.

Winning pitcher Lucy Gray led Hall-Dale with three hits. Mira Skehan had a single and a double.

Aleiah Ward got a double among her two hits for Dirigo. Alyssa Ellis and Emma Witas also rapped two hits each.
