Eli Cullen scored 13 of his 25 points in the third quarter as the Waterville boys basketball stretched its lead to 13 points and cruised to at 59-42 win over Bucksport on Saturday at the Augusta Civic Center.
Jacoby Sirois added 12 points for Waterville (1-6), which outscored Bucksport 18-6 in the second quarter to take the lead.
Ryan Young scored 14 points and Jack Morrison had 13 for Bucksport (2-4).
FOREST HILLS 76, RANGELEY 45: The Tigers ran out to a 47-12 halftime lead en route to a victory over the Lakers in Jackman.
Aaden Nadeau had 28 points and 13 rebounds for Forest Hills (5-2), which got 21 points and 14 boards from Jaxson Desjardins. Maddox Cuddy added 14 points and eight rebounds.
Sam Morrill had 17 points to lead Rangeley (1-6).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
OCEANSIDE 68, LAWRENCE 61: Four players scored in double figures and the Mariners (6-1) overcame a 41-point effort by Maddie Provost to beat the Bulldogs (4-1) in Rockland.
Renee Ripley and Abby Stackpole both scored 20 points for Oceanside. Olivia Breen added 17 and Grace Mackie had 11.
Provost scored 33 points in the second half and made seven 3-point shots. Ashley Shore added 12 for the Bulldogs.
BUCKSPORT 48, WATERVILLE 30: Avery Robshaw scored 15 points to lead the Bucks (2-4) to a non-conference win over the Purple Panthers (1-6) at the Augusta Civic Center.
Aivah Tweedie scored seven of her eight points in the first half for the Golden Bucks.
Madison Gervais led Waterville (1-6) with 14 points.
FOREST HILLS 51, RANGELEY 16: Janessa Moffitt scored 19 points as the Tigers (6-2) cruised to a win over the Lakers (2-5) in Jackman.
Morgan Daigle added 13 points for Forest Hills.
Kennedy Savage scored seven points for Rangeley.
BOYS HOCKEY
BANGOR/BREWER/SKOWHEGAN/NARRAGUAGUS 8, WINDHAM/WESTBROOK/BONNY EAGLE/SACOPEE VALLEY 4: Peyton Gifford and Preston Cram both scored twice as the Titans (2-2) beat the Trail Blazers (2-4) in Brewer.
Ryan Beck, Philip Moscone, Landon Baker and Brent Cowan also scored for the Titans.
Colby Haskell scored twice, while Brody Rancourt and Mason Caron also scored for the Trail Blazers.
