Joel Desjardins of Fort Kent was named the Dennis Bishop Outstanding Wrestler of the New England Qualifier on Friday at Edward Little High School in Auburn.

On his way to the all-states title in the 157-pound division, Desjardins beat both the Class A champion, Dillon Gray of Mt. Blue, and the Class B champion, Noah Schultz of Monmouth.

The top three from each weight class advance to the New England Championships on March 7-8 in Providence, Rhode Island. Noble, the Class A state champion, had four wrestlers qualify for New Englands, while Class B champion Dirigo, Edward Little and Massabesic each qualified three.

Here are the qualifiers for the New England Champions for each weight class, listed in order of finish.

• 106 pounds: Remington Grunhuvd, Massabesic; Evan McMann, Biddeford/Thornton; James Swan, Deering.

• 113: Kylan Berry, Bonny Eagle; Preston Garland, Mt. Blue; River Brackett, Oxford Hills.

• 120: Dominic Simpson, Belfast; Michaelray Abeyta, Deering; Owen Vigue, Winslow.

• 126: Evan Kowalsky, Mt. Ararat/Brunswick; Julien Melendez, York; Damian Skinsacos, Cheverus/Falmouth.

• 132: Evan Boulard, Massabesic; Cooper Blair, Edward Little; Keygan Bouchar, Mountain Valley.

• 138: Noah Parenteau, Belfast; Chance Watson, Mountain Valley; Cam Dennis, Noble.

• 144: Evan Madigan, Edward Little; Caiden Skidgell, Dirigo; Ayden Decato, Noble.

Three wrestlers reached career milestones at the New England Qualifier. Shamus Pease of Medomak Valley earned his 200th win, while Schultz and Caribou’s Brock Gagnon claimed their 100th wins.
