Bryant Betancourt hit a two-out, two-run double in the ninth inning to lift the Hartford Yard Goats to a 6-5 win over the Portland Sea Dogs on Sunday in Hartford, Connecticut.
On Saturday night, Hartford outlasted Portland in 10 innings on a pair of squeeze bunts.
A day later, Betancourt’s bases-loaded double off Cooper Adams (3-2, 5.87 ERA) scored Jose Torres and GJ Hill.
In the top of the ninth, the Sea Dogs broke a 4-all tie when Max Ferguson singled home Tyler McDonough.
Will Turner had two hits for Portland (17-21). Starting pitcher Michael Sansone allowed five hits and four runs over five innings. He struck out three batters.
Conner Capel and Hill homered for Hartford (19-19). Konner Eaton allowed four hits and one earned run over six innings.
