PITTSTON FAIR
The Pittston Fair returns Thursday through Sunday with rides, food, family fun and agricultural traditions at the Pittston Fairgrounds, 995 East Pittston Road, Pittston.
Highlights this year include the midway, livestock and agricultural exhibits, children’s games, pulling events, the popular Strawberry Festival and a variety of contests and demonstrations throughout the weekend.
The Pittston Fair is traditionally the first major agricultural fair of Maine’s summer fair season and remains a showcase of the state’s farming heritage and community spirit.

WHISKEY MYERS

BLISTERED FINGERS FAMILY BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL
The Blistered Fingers Family Bluegrass Festival is set for Thursday through Sunday at the Litchfield Fairgrounds in Litchfield.
The long‑running, twice‑yearly event is founded and produced by Sandy and Greg Cormier, veteran Maine bluegrass musicians and Maine Country Music Hall of Fame inductees. The festival has become one of the state’s premier traditional bluegrass gatherings. The festival spans several days of family-friendly music featuring headliners such as Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, The Gibson Brothers, and a mix of regional and national acts, all emphasizing acoustic, story‑driven bluegrass.
Attendees can camp on site and gather under a large event tent that keeps the music going “rain or shine.” The festival also includes a free Kids Academy that teaches young musicians to perform together, plus a Sunday morning gospel sing‑and‑jam, helping to cultivate a tight‑knit, multigenerational bluegrass community.

THE HIGHWAY BOYS

WORKING CLASS
Waterfront Wednesday will feature Working Class starting at 6 p.m. June 24 in downtown Augusta.
The weekly event scheduled through Aug. 5 will feature free music, food and family fun returning to the western bank of the Kennebec River.
Each week, concertgoers can bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for live music from local bands and DJs. There will be a food truck at every event.
Waterfront Wednesday is a chance for the community to get outside, catch up with neighbors and spend time together. Children can enjoy bounce houses, lawn games and other family activities while parents relax and take in the view.

MONMOUTH FAIR
Plan a day for the Monmouth Fair set for June 24-27 at the Monmouth Fairgrounds on Academy Road in Monmouth.
The small, family‑oriented agricultural fair is organized with support from the Cochnewagan Agricultural Association. It highlights local farming, 4‑H youth projects, livestock, and rural skills through animal exhibits, pulling events, and craft displays.
