RUMFORD, ME – NOVEMBER 18: Bob Bailey at his home in Rumford, ME on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Bailey, a former police officer, began taking opiate pain medication after he was prescribed them following an injury searching for survivors at Ground Zero after 9/11. Bailey developed an addiction to the opiates, and during the peak of his struggle with addiction, was spending $600 a day purchasing the pills illegally.
