Russ Lewis, a Southwest Washington retiree, participates in frequent cleanups of a 7-mile-long stretch of the Long Beach coastline. Since June 2012, he has logged more than 700 cleanup days and says roughly half the debris coming ashore continues to be the type of materials unleashed by the 2011 Japanese tsunami.
