UNITY — Sara Trunzo, Unity College Food and Farms Project coordinator, will be awarded Volunteer of the Year by the Unity Area Rotary Club at the program and award ceremony from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday at Crosstrax Restaurant.

A 2008 alum of Unity College, Trunzo served for two years as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer focusing on food security in Unity and the region. She is active in area agencies and on multiple advisory boards that work to address issues of hunger, food access, sustainable agriculture and community development.
