Government has no place in the examining room. That’s why we’re supporting Sharon Frost, independent candidate for state representative in District 58. Sharon believes in a women’s right to choose and has been endorsed by the Planned Parenthood Maine Action Fund. Daniel Newman, her Republican opponent, thinks otherwise. He received a score of 0 from Planned Parenthood for his “no” votes to expand and protect access to sexual and reproductive health care, according to his 2023 Legislative Record.
Sharon Frost also vows to expand access to affordable housing, health and child care, reduce taxes for working families and hold corporate price gougers accountable. Daniel Newman is making life harder for working families by voting to roll back minimum wage, voting against paid family and medical leave and voting to cut back taxes of estates of $5.6 million or more.
The choice is clear; a women’s right to choose and a representative who fights for the middle class. Vote Sharon Frost.
