    Cemetery thief steals solar light from grave

    Two years ago, at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, I had put a beautiful large flower arrangement on the top of my mother's and father's gravestone. It was stolen within two weeks.

    Maine right to bear arms ‘shall never be questioned’

    During all the discussion about gun laws, it might be best kept in mind that the Constitution of the state of Maine reads: "Section 16. To keep and bear arms. Every citizen has a right to keep and bear arms and this right shall never be questioned."

    Ring in fundraising bucket for Cancer Foundation

    On June 29, I held a fundraiser at Sam's Club in Augusta to raise money for the Maine Cancer Foundation. When emptying the fundraising bucket, I found a ring. Someone may have had the ring in their pocket and grabbed it by accident when donating change.

    Beware of false prophets. I read with disgust the Maine Compass on June 27 by state Sen. Roger Katz joining forces with the Democrats and the liberal media in being critical of Gov. Paul LePage.
