The marine vessel Island Transporter out of Rockland nearly lost two trucks Thursday in heavy seas on her way to North Haven. No one was hurt and the captain was able to steer the boat into the Fox Islands thoroughfare.

It took two hours for the badly listing Island Transporter to make it to North Haven after heavy seas tipped over two trucks on board.
Two heavy trucks tipped over on the Island Transporter out of Rockland when it encountered seas that grew to 10 feet as the ferry headed out into West Penobscot Bay on Thursday.
