    A Maine State Police cruiser is parked at the Blaine House in Augusta while about 20 people were across the street Saturday to protest Gov. Janet Mills' mask mandate. Max Linn, national director of Donald Trump Patriots, held a press conference at the same time. With the events of the riot Wednesday at the U.S. Capitol in Washington still fresh, several of Maine Capitol Police units parked nearby and at Cross State Office Building during the rally.

    About 20 protesters, including these two wearing camouflage gear and carrying long guns, were at the corner of State and Chamberlain streets Saturday near the Maine State House in Augusta. Since the presidential election in November, a group has gathered there at noon every Saturday to protest Gov. Janet Mills' mask mandate and claim that President Donald Trump's election victory was stolen.
