Malakhi Hopkins blasts out of one of the water slides at the Alfond Municipal Pool in Waterville on Monday. Children of all ages and parents went swimming, sliding and lounged in the sunshine as the pool opened this week. The pool is open Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 7 p.m. and weekend days from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
