The sixth annual Gardens Aglow event, put on by Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, is a drive-through experience this year to maintain social distancing due to the pandemic.
Tickets must be reserved in advance this year, for safety reasons. A sign instructs drivers on the drive-through tour, which is about a mile long and takes 20 to 30 minutes.
A lighted tunnel awaits drivers. The tunnel is decorated with about 40,000 lights.
A sculpture of a hummingbird and a flower are featured along the roadside at this year's Gardens Aglow event. Roughly 650,000 lights are displayed this year, the same amount as last year.
