The best lobstering used to be in Casco Bay in the 1980s but has shifted east and is now considered to be in and around Stonington. "We're definitely seeing this geographic shift and its in keeping with the warming of the gulf," says Robert Steneck, a lobster expert at the University of Maine's Darling Marine Center.
