Jessica Boghosian tosses a pan Saturday during the annual frying pan toss contest in Memorial Park at the Windsor Fair. Boghasian, of South Portland, won the 18-to-29 age group with a distance of 73 feet and 1 inch. The competitors got two tosses of a custom-made 2.5-pound competition-style pan. The tossing contest doesn't use standard cast iron frying pans because the handles eventually break off when landing.

Amber Hynes sprints to the finish line of the fourth annual Super Run 5K on Monday in Augusta's Capitol Park. The event was a fundraiser for the Augusta Boys and Girls Club for Teens. Participants got a cape and a superhero-themed finisher's medal. There was a 5-kilometer race on the Kennebec River Rail Trail, followed by 1-kilometer and 2-kilometer kids' races in the park.
