Staffers prepare and distribute the meals for students on Mondays and Wednesdays while school buildings have been closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Distributions take place on Mondays (two breakfasts and two lunches) and Wednesdays (three breakfasts and three lunches) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The distributions will take place for the rest of the school year, including vacations, at: Gardiner Area High School, Gardiner Regional Middle School, River View Community School, Laura E. Richards School, Downtown Gardiner in the parking lot behind the library, Pittston-Randolph Consolidated School, East Pittston United Methodist Church, Randolph Town Office, Helen Thompson School and Fuller's Market in West Gardiner. Most of the shops are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Jacobson said he's taking his high school freshman classes at home. Outside his lessons, Jacobson said he's mastered wheelies on his bike. "I can go the how length of the street now," he said.
