    Hallowell, Maine, firefighter Sean Goodwin guides a teenager up the granite face of a quarry he fell off Tuesday afternoon in that city. Firefighters lifted the youth with ropes approximately 60 feet from the base of the quarry in a gurney. He was then transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston by helicopter to be treated for a head injury, according to firefighters.

This season, which opens Saturday, includes 130 children ages 4 to 12 playing on 15 teams. The league covers Dresden, Farmingdale and Hallowell, the schools that feed into RSU 2's Hall-Dale middle and high schools.
