Volunteer Michelle Finley ties up another takeout bag of food Friday August 7, 2020 at the Bread of Life Soup Kitchen on Water Street in downtown Augusta. Since it was founded in the 1984, clients were served dine-in lunches. But like with restaurants, they had to change to take-out service because of the state's coronavirus rules back in March. Kitchen manager Kimberly Barter and volunteers started earlier Friday morning and by 11 a.m. opening had over 100 lunches of hot dogs, baked beans, pasta salad and cucumber salad along with snacks, drink and dessert ready to hand out the door to clients. Lunch at 157 Water Street is served Monday to Friday from 11 a.m to noon.
