Witnesses said an excavator that was working accidentally hit the water pipe, flooding the area beneath the bridge. Water Street in downtown Hallowell looks like a kaleidoscope when seen through a stained glass snow flake, created by Richard MacDonald, seen Wednesday in the Holiday Pottery Shop in downtown Hallowell. It is the 13th year for the annual popup gift shop that is in at corner of Water and Winthrop streets. In honor of 13th anniversary they'll have a 13% off sale on Friday the 13th. The gift shop has work from 11 potters and nine other artists and craftspeople.
