Farmingdale Assistant Fire Chief Mike LaPlante escorts Ella Cotnoir, 8, beneath power lines that trapped her family Sunday in their SUV on Maple Street in Farmingdale for over an hour. Central Maine Power crews were able to turn the power off and Farmingdale firefighters were able to extricate the Cotnoir family. The West Gardiner family, who were returning from church services, was uninjured.
