Police must start watching South Solon Road speeds
Please (county and state police) start watching South Solon Road. It is a narrow and curvy road frequented by speeders. A Portland recipient objects, lamenting parents not being allowed to buy their children a candy bar or lollipop "now and then." The problem is now and then -- throughout the day.

Readfield could take pridein cooperating on charter
I have been a resident of Readfield for so many years, sometimes I think I could declare ownership of this special town; thus, it troubles me when there seems to be dissension in the ranks.
