A fire early Tuesday morning in Winthrop destroyed a shed off Frost Drive and the equipment stored inside it.

Deputy Chief Mark Arsenault, of the Winthrop Fire Department, said nobody was hurt in the fire, which destroyed a shed he estimated was 10 feet by 15 feet in size. Arsenault said the fire also destroyed a four-wheeler, a snow blower and other equipment.

“All the contents are gone,” he said.

The fire was reported around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday at 30 Frost Drive. Crews from Winthrop and Monmouth fought the blaze. Crews were at the scene for about an hour.

The fire was about 50 feet from a home but did not endanger the structure.

Arsenault said he was unsure how the fire started, but it is not suspicious.

“It’s deemed undetermined right now,” he said.
