HARTLAND — A fire destroyed a garage near a home on Huff Hill Road Sunday morning.

No injuries were reported in the fire, but tools stored in the building were destroyed, said Chief Tim Kuespert, of the Hartland Volunteer Fire Department, at the scene Sunday morning.

The fire was reported at 9:21 a.m. at 295 Huff Hill Road. Firefighters from Hartland, St. Albans and Canaan were still at the scene an hour later dousing the wooden garage with water.

The property owners declined an interview request and did not want to be identified. The garage was detached from a home on the property and used to store tools and equipment, Kuespert said.
