Portland police and firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Pearl Street shortly after 9 a.m. Friday

One person had to be extricated from one of the vehicles, said police Lt. Robert Martin. The crash required several officers to respond and snarled traffic in the area, Martin said.
