AUGUSTA – MaineGeneral Medical Center’s planned new regional hospital in north Augusta won approval from the Planning Board late Tuesday night.

Kennebec Ice Arena demolition under way
Cianbro workers commence razing the Kennebec Ice Arena in Hallowell Tuesday morning. The 40-year-old rink is being demolished after its collapse in early March. Management still hopes to build a new facility, according to part owner Rosy Santerre. The rink’s remains are expected to be demolished and removed in three weeks.
