A very thoughtful but unidentified woman came to our assistance recently at our home on Benton Avenue.
My husband and I were trying, unsuccessfully, to free our riding mower, which had become stuck on our front bank, when a car pulled into our yard. We initially thought that it was just someone turning around, but then out jumped a woman.
She said she saw us struggling and just had to turn around and help. And help she did. Her extra push was all we needed. We thanked her, but she was back in her car and had driven off before we could ask her name.
It’s so nice to know that there are still decent people out there. She certainly renewed our faith in mankind.
