AUGUSTA — Zac Lachance pitched a complete game and Augusta pounded out 12 hits on its way to a 14-2 win over Madison in a Zone 2 American Legion baseball game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule Friday.

Eric Ogren had two singles and a double for Augusta (10-2). Ryan Minoty added a double, a single and three RBIs, while Luke Duncklee had two singles and three RBIs. Corey Lapierre chipped in with a double and a single.

Lachance allowed two hits, struck out four and didn’t walk a batter.

Kameron Nelson had a double for Madison (1-11).

Gardiner Post 204 11, Waterville 9: Gardiner/Post 204 scored three runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth on their way to a Zone 2 win over Waterville in Gardiner.

Gardiner (8-4) took the lead in the fifth when Cody Plourde and Forrest Chadwick scored.

Chadwick had a solo home run for Gardiner, while Plourde had two singles, Mike Phelps had two singles and an RBI, and Josh Prue had a two-run double.

J.T. Whitten had a double and a home run for Waterville (5-8).
