Peter Thompson’s piece (July 11) about the Kennebec Ice Arena was very interesting. I agree that it was a wonderful place for children and adults in this area, and I hope it is rebuilt.

The owners want a TIF agreement of 100 percent from the city of Hallowell.

It would be good for each entity that uses the facility to pay a use fee to Hallowell, so that Hallowell citizens are not the only ones footing the bill.

Each business that realizes in income from activities at the arena could contribute a portion of those profits as well.
