BANGOR –Tim Dudley scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Lawrence to a 3-1 win over Bangor in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A boys soccer game Wednesday.
Hunter Boyce gave the host Rams a 1-0 lead with a goal in the first half, but the Bulldogs bounced back for three straight goals, the first by Dudley from Matt Saunders to tie the score by halftime. Dudley scored on an assist from Drew Bois to make it 2-1 then assisted Bois on the game’s final goal.
Liam Harrigan made 10 saves in goal for Bangor (7-1-1) while Brad MacKenzie stopped nine shots for Lawrence (5-5-0).
Valley 5, Islesboro 1: Carrington Miller had three goals and an assist to lead the Cavaliers to the East-West Conference win in Bingham. Josh West added two goals for Valley (5-6-0) while Sam Mathieu stopped eight shots.
Ian Davis made six saves for Islesboro.
Medomak Valley 3, Nokomis 1: Kazu Tibbetts scored a pair of goals to lead the Panthers to the KVAC B win in Waldoboro.
Russell Wood also scored for Medomak Valley (2-6). Jeff Ludden scored for Nokomis (0-10). Robbie Griffin and Ryan Ripley combined for 12 saves for Medomak. Thomas Batchelder made seven stops for Nokomis.
Girls soccer
Erskine 6, Skowhegan 0: Taylar Chase had a goal and two assists to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in South China.
Meryl Bond added a goal and an assist for Erskine (4-4-2) while Amy Phillips, Nicole Glidden, Courtney Bonsant and Hattie Welch also scored for the Eagles. Welch made one save in the first half while Abby Peabody stopped one shot in the second half for Erskine.
Andrea Quirion made 21 saves for Skowhegan (0-10-0).
Madison 2, Wiscasset 1: Melissa White and Whitney Lloyd each scored to lift Madison to the MVC victory.
Nathalie Michaud had both assists for the Bulldogs (9-1-0).
Alecia Faulkingham scored for Wiscasset.
Field hockey
Lawrence 4, Brewer 0: Danielle Spaulding and Danielle Armour each scored two goals to lead the Bulldogs to the KVAC A win.
Spaulding scored twice in the first half and assisted on a goal by Armour as Lawrence (7-3-1) went up 3-0 by halftime. Armour added the final goal midway through the second half. Emily Lambert made two saves for Lawrence, and Casey White stopped 12 shots for Brewer (9-3-1).
Kents Hill 3, Gould 0: Ashley Doyle scored twice to lead the Huskies to the Maine Association of Independent Schools Athletic Directors win in Bethel. Maya Bentley also scored for Kents Hill (3-1-0). Marisa Zamrock made four saves.
College field hockey
UMF 1, Thomas 0: Lily Barry scored with 4:19 left in overtime to lift the Beavers in a NAC game at Farmington.
Barry scored the game-winner off a cross from Samantha Webster for UMF (5-4, 4-1). Curran Brierley stopped four shots to earn the shutout.
Sofia Sourgiadakis had eight saves for Thomas (4-8, 2-3).
Men’s soccer
Thomas 2, USM 0: Former Maranacook standout Dakota Duplisse and Matt Ford each scored goals to help the Terriers snap a three-game losing skid in a noneconference game.
Mikkail Crockwell had his fifth shutout of the season for Thomas (5-4-0, 1-3-0). USM dropped to 2-9-0.
