PITTSFIELD, Mass. — David and Fern Bouchard of Pittsfield, Mass., formerly of Augusta, Maine, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 4, 2011.

Mr. Bouchard and the former Fern Thibeault were married Sept. 4, 1961, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Madawaska, Maine by Rev. Abel Hebert.

Mr. Bouchard retired in 1997 from J.C. Penney management in Pittsfield, Mass. Mrs. Bouchard is retired from State Cable and Solman, Page and Hunter law firm in Caribou, Maine.

The couple renewed their wedding vows with family and friends at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pittsfield, Mass. performed by Msgr. Michael Shershanovich.

Mr. and Mrs. Bouchard celebrated this joyous occasion in Maine with their two sons and families, David Bouchard of Belgrade, Maine and Thomas Bouchard of Wells, Maine.

In the spring the couple will be going on a Mediterranean cruise.
