SACO — The Steak ‘n’ Rib Restaurant at 39 Ocean Park Road was heavily damaged by fire early today.

Firefighters responded to a report of fire at 2 a.m., said FIre Capt. Luke Godbout. The restaurant was nearly engulfed in flames when they arrived.

Several area fire departments assisted, including Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach. The fire was out by 5:30 a.m. No one was injured.

The Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
