SKOWHEGAN — Anita and Norman Lancaster celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Oct. 1, 2011, at Whit’s End with their family.

Mr. Lancaster and the former Anita Lapointe were married Sept. 29, 1951, at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church by Rev. Lucien Chabot.

Mrs. Lancaster was employed as Head Cook at SAD 54. Mr. Lancaster was employed as a Supervisor at New Balance Shoe in Norridgewock.

The couple have four children — Jean Lancaster of Jackman, Joan Eastman and husband Rick of Augusta, Linda Lewia and husband Gary of Levant, and Nancy Marandola and husband Bob of Madison; five grandchildren — Amy Morrison, Jody McCannell, Heather Marandola, Tyler Marandola and Ashley Shepherd; two great-grandchildren, Camden Morrison and Kyla McCannell.

Guests attended from Augusta, Herman, Levant, Madison, Norridgewock and Skowhegan.
