This afternoon I was once again reminded of the lack of respect and integrity of some of the human race. I was informed by a responsible member of our community that portions of our fence had been mangled by a car that had gone off the road.

Granted it was a snowy and slippery road that this happened on. The person who had been driving the car, either was “unaware” that they had smashed into our fence, or, and this scenario is more plausible, hit the fence and flew off without notifying us of the damage. There were plenty of tire marks to show the person took off in quite a hurry.

I would have hoped that person would have knocked on the door and explained that it was an accident and they were sorry. End of story. But this person obviously was not raised with the correct morals to do so.

Common courtesy and responsibility have gone out the window.
