UNITY — Jenn Lola scored a game-high 31 points to lead the University of Maine at Augusta women’s basketball team to an 80-32 win against Unity College in Yankee small College conference action Thursday night.

Lola, a Monmouth Academy graduate, connected on six 3-pointers. Erskine graduate Ashley Peaslee added 24 points for the Moose while Katie Poirier scored 19.

UMA is 6-2 while Unity falls to 1-4.

Men’s basketball

UMaine-Augusta 89, Unity 58: Leonel Familia scored 25 points to lead the Moose to the Yankee Small College Conference win in Unity.

David Prior scored 13 points for UMA while teamamtes Aron Cochran and Eric Gagne added 12 points apiece and Darius Vanegas scored 10.

Zach Babin and Nijel Jones scored 16 apiece for Unity. UMA is 3-10.

Eastern Illinois 85, Maine 80, OT: Jeremy Granger scored all nine of the Panthers points as the outscored the Black Bears 9-4 in overtime to earn a win Wednesday in Charleston, Ill.

Gerald McLemore, who finished with 26 points for Maine (2-2), scored seven points in the final 22 seconds of regulation, including a four-point play with 14 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.

Granger finished with 14 points, while Alfonzo McKinnie had 24 for Eastern Illinois (4-2).
