FARMINGDALE — Timothy and Denise Garland of Farmingdale have announced the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Garland to Ben Scott, son of Duane and Linda Scott of Augusta.

Amanda is a graduate of Hall-Dale High School; earned an Associate’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising from Saddleback College in California; and is finishing her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing at the University of Southern Maine in Portland.

Ben is a graduate of Cony High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in Film from Full Sail in Florida.

A September 22, 2012, wedding is planned.
