ALBION — The Albion Public Library was recently selected by the Maine Humanities Council to offer a free reading and discussion group, Let’s Talk About It with books. The program is provided by the Maine Humanities Council’s Harriet P. Henry Center for the Book in cooperation with the Maine State Library.
The series, The Mirror of Maine, begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Library.
The five book discussion sessions include:
* Jan. 24, “A Maine Hamlet” by Lura Beam.
* Feb. 21, “Empire Falls” by Richard Russo.
* March 20, “12 Journeys into Maine” by Wesley McNair.
* April 17, “Wildfire Loose” by Joyce Butler.
* May 15, “Salem’s Lot” by Stephen King.
Books for the program are available at the Library next week. The discussions will be facilitated by Greg Winston, an associate professor of English at Husson University in Bangor.
