I hope Gov. Paul LePage saw the front page of the Morning Sentinel on Jan. 2. The area’s first New Year’s baby was born to 15- and 16-year-old kids.

This is an example of the reason the MaineCare system is so deep in the hole.

The last I knew, teenagers could get free birth control. Instead, we have kids having kids, kids not even out of school, (unless they quit), without decent paying jobs. Who pays their hospital bills, the doctor bills, etc.? Good old MaineCare.

How much plainer could it be what the problem is in the system?

I also believe the newspaper was wrong to glorify this behavior by putting their picture and story on the front page.
