KENTS HILL — Zach Gagne scored with 8 minutes, 18 seconds left in the third period to snap a 3-3 game lift the Cony High School hockey team past rival Gardiner 4-3 on Saturday night at Bonnefond Ice Arena.

The Rams (5-3-0) squandered leads of 2-0 and 3-2 before Gagne sent them home winners.

Aaron Manter, Dakota Bowie and Austin Davis also scored for Cony.

“Everyone win is big for us,” Cony coach Chad Foye said. “Beating our rival is important for our season. It was a good win.”

Bryant Whitley, Josh Moore and Alex Nadeau scored for Gardiner (5-5-0), which trailed 2-0 two minutes into the game before rallying to pull even heading into the third.
