VASSALBORO — Stephen and Susan Gilbert of Vassalboro are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie J. Gilbert to Matthew Tyler Jones, son of Scott Jones and Patty and Vinny Clark of Metropolis, Illinois. Stephanie is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joan Poulin and the late Clarence Poulin and Mrs. Sylvia Gilbert and the late Romuald and Rita Gilbert.

Miss Gilbert is a 2005 graduate of Winslow High School and a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Southern Maine.

Mr. Jones is a 1999 graduate of Massac County High School and a summa cum laude graduate of University of Kentucky.

Both attended Yale University, where they met, graduating with masters degrees this past May.

They are currently residing in New York City, where they are pursuing their artistic careers.

A summer 2012 wedding will be held in coastal Maine.
