PITTSFIELD — The University of Maine Singers will perform a free concert at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Maine Central Institute Parks Gymnasium.

The group is a select choir whose members come from all disciplines across campus. Nearly half of its members are from areas outside of music. Under the direction of Dr. Dennis Cox, singers perform concerts on campus, tour New England for one week each spring, and perform abroad every four years. The concerts have a wide range of musical styles, the repertoire ranges from Renaissance motets to popular songs of today.
