CASTINE — Maine Maritime Academy recently announced local students who earned degrees at a mid-year graduation ceremony held Dec. 11, in the Alfond Student Center on campus.

Steven Austin of Fairfield received a bachelor of science degree in marine systems engineering design. Austin is a graduate of Lawrence High School.

Kyle Mathieu of Fairfield received a bachelor of science degree in vessel operations and technology. Mathieu is a graduate of Carrabassett Valley Academy.

Timothy Fortin of Madison received a bachelor of science degree in marine engineering operations. Fortin is a graduate of Madison Area High School.

Jonathan Whitcomb of Sidney received an associate of science degree in ship production. Whitcomb is a graduate of Waterville Senior High School.

Douglas Sinclair of Waterville received an associate of science degree in ship production. Sinclair is a graduate of Foxcroft Academy.
