WATERVILLE — Valerie A. Trask and John M. Paul, both of Waterville, have announced their engagement. Valerie is the daughter of Carolyn Trask of Oakland and the late Stacy Trask. John is the son of the late Henry and Anna (Mangiafridda) Paul, formerly of Bronx, N.Y.

A 1975 graduate of Messalonskee High School in Oakland, Valerie is a full-time student at Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield, where she will graduate in May 2013.

John is a 1967 graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School, Bronx, N.Y.; earned a bachelor of science degree in 1972 from Fordham University; and in 1979 earned his master’s degree from Princeton University. He is a semi-retired Medical Device Consultant/Partner at Southeast Medical in Alpharetta, Ga.

A May 12, 2012, wedding is planned in Las Vegas, Nev.
