The front page of March 22’s Morning Sentinel had the story, “Pedestrian hospitalized after being hit by van.”
Sgt. Matt Bard said, “the paint on the crosswalks is not visible.”
The town of Madison has the same problem. The paint on the crosswalks is no longer visible, not even in front of the junior high.
Is paint for the crosswalks so expensive that the town would sacrifice safety for a few dollars? It’s plain to see that painting the crosswalks once a year is not sufficient.
The paint is not visible now, and the lines usually aren’t painted until just before the big parade in August. Some one could get seriously hurt before then.
